DTEK Oil&Gas is the largest private gas producer in Ukraine. The company focuses on exploring and extracting hydrocarbons.
In 2021, it produced over 2 bcm of natural gas setting the record of private gas production nationwide. In 2022, DTEK Oil&Gas repeated its own production record. The total natural gas production achieved by DTEK is ~18.4 bcm.The enterprise includes several entities in the Poltava, Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
DTEK Oil&Gas focuses on the geological exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons. It continuously applies innovations and develops new approaches, and regularly collaborates with international companies to invest in progressive technologies.
The company’s annual investments in the development of hydrocarbon production exceeded $100 million in the last two years. It was the first in Ukraine to use a number of technologies including downhole video cameras to inspect wellbores in real-time conditions and an integrated system of digital field twins. The company developed its own sector of oil and gas services, which successfully entered the Ukrainian service market in 2024.
Overall, DTEK oil and gas investments account for 8% of the country’s whole gas production and almost a half of the private gas production.

After drilling, DTEK Oil&Gas uses eco-friendly methods of technical and biological reclamation to work on the soil. As a result, it is restored to its baseline condition. The Naftogazvydobuvannya (the main production entity of DTEK Oil&Gas) management system is certified according to ISO 14001:2015.
The enterprise supports local communities through a number of social partnership programmes, collaborating with community members, representatives, and public authorities to strengthen local healthcare, education, infrastructure development, and energy saving. Since 2014, the company has invested over ₴100 million in developing local communities in the regions were it operates.
